SCREW CONVEYORS

Screw conveyors are used to convey the material continuously with the help of a rotating helical screw blade (known as flights) by shear and tumbling effect inside a U shaped trough or a round shape tube. They are generally used for handling fines of coal, crushed material, powders, cement, chemicals etc.

Screw conveyors at ATS are ruggedly built for complete reliability and versatility to meet the demand for wide range of applications through special flights with adaptations including special pitches, tapered, cut flight, and ribbon in various materials like Stainless Steel, Heat resistant steel and other alloy steels. The periphery of leading side of the helix is provided with hard face welding for handling abrasive material.

We offer screw conveyors in standard and customized solution to address varied requirements.

We also offer Water Cooled screw conveyor for handling and cooling material with very high temperature. Screw conveyors are designed based on maximum volume of material or tons per hour, maximum lump size and percentage of lumps, flow-ability, moisture and abrasive nature of the materials being conveyed.

Hanger bearings

We have developed bearing bushes with special alloy for very severe abrasive applications. Standard bearing bushes are Bronze, Nylon, Teflon, Ultra Bronze, Oil impregnated wood and Chilled cast Iron.

Hard-Surfaced Conveyor Screws

Our hard-surfaced conveyor screws are engineered to prolong the life of flights while handling abrasive materials.

An electrode disposition process is adopted on the carrying side of the flight to achieve hardness ranging from 450-600 BHN.

Sectional Flights

ATS has developed dyes for conveyor sizes ranging from 150 mm through to1200 mm to form a perfect helix which will thereby gain higher conveying efficiency with less wear-n-tear.

Coupling Bolts

ATS has developed a special bolt for the severe service encountered with a self-locking hexagonal nut. The bolt has the thread cut to proper length so that it does not project into and cut or wear the pipe walls. This prevents lot of damage and downtimeduring operationof conveyors.
